• Introducing My Delhi’s Bottomless Curry Club

    You’ve heard of bottomless brunch, but have you heard of bottomless curry? Probably not. My Delhi are launching their Bottomless Curry Club exclusively at their Sunderland restaurant from Sunday 17 March.

    For £18pp you can enjoy 90 minutes of bottomless curry, onion bhajis, chicken tikka and of course – papadams. If you’re looking for an alternative to a Sunday dinner, this could be the option to try.

    On arrival you’ll receive a papadam basket with a selection of dips. The papadams at My Delhi have a lovely crunch to them and as much as I want to say the mango chutney is my favourite dip, there’s some strong contenders in the two orange dips too – I couldn’t tell you what they are though. So ask if you go, then let me know!

    The curries really are the star of the show here – which will come as no surprise, I’m sure. Butter Chicken 1950s has chunks of chicken tikka in a rich tomato sauce. It’s delicious. Kozi curry offers a spicier option and if you’re a coconut fan, you’ll love this. Dilli Paneer Butter Masala incorporates two great things – cheese and curry. It’s a simple masala sauce, but perfectly done. Then there’s Grandma’s Aloo Matar, a family heirloom recipe for a traditional North Indian potato and pea curry. It was a firm favourite for us and one we’d order from the main menu on a future visit.

    You also get pulao rice, naan, chacha chips and kachumber salad if you’d like. The naan is perfect for soaking up some of the rich sauces from the curries. You will want to ask for another though!

    The Bottomless Curry Club is only available on Sundays 1-10pm. Everyone at the table needs to be taking part in that menu. Perhaps it’ll branch out to Newcastle depending on the success, but for now it’s only at the Sunderland restaurant.
