Like coffee? Laneway & Co is the latest independent shop to open in Newcastle and you absolutely need to give it a visit.

Whether you’re drawn towards the blue mugs and the clean, white interiors, or you’re an avid coffee fan wanting to try out a new blend, Laneway & Co, nestled into High Bridge Street (just off Grey Street) has everything you want, from lattes to a good cuppa, and even mochas and hot chocolates made from proper chocolate buttons.
Fancy something to eat? You can pick up a toastie and a coffee for £5.50 which, given the quality of the coffee (and I recommend brie and grape!) is a pretty good deal. There’s plenty of cakes too, if you’re fancying something a little sweeter. The lemon polenta cake is also a very good option – ps. it’s gluten free too.
From batch brew El Salvador for a smooth filter coffee, to V60 Kenyan which has a much fruitier almost tea-like taste, and Aeropress Colombian for something with a bit more kick; there’s always options for you and if you can’t decide, ask Nick to surprise you!
Are you into your coffee? Have you been along to Laneway & Co?

I was invited along to try out some coffee and certainly got my caffeine fix. All photos my own except #2 provided by Laneway.
