As I hopped on my train at 9pm on Friday night, I said goodbye to Edinburgh. This time without the feeling that I’d be back in less than 24 hours and slightly sad to leave after a great week with some really lovely people!
I headed up for my third and final Edinburgh trip to be one of the International Television Festival Stewards – you may remember, if you’re an avid Hello Freckles reader, I was part of The Network (a talent scheme they run as part of the festival) back in 2013, so I was very excited to go back and see everything from a different perspective.
I’ll have a full post about the festival, what I got up to and of course all the Fringe highlights so check back on Tuesday for that. Hopefully I’ve shaken off this cold by then too – trust me to be ill as soon as I get home and completely write off the bank holiday weekend. On a positive though, at least I’ve had time to catch up with emails, sleep and finally get round to ruthlessly downsizing my wardrobe.
This time last week I was on my train up after quickly writing this post about my work situation. I’ve also had a chat about my previous trip to Edinburgh with my sister, where we tried out improv and shared my 5 From This Month.

Definitely get yourself there, hotels are more expensive during August due to the Fringe Festival being on, so perhaps head up during Spring instead to see the city when it's (slightly) quieter! x
