Event | French Connection #CANTHELPMYSELFIE Newcastle

Yesterday after a busy day at Thinking Digital, a conference all about digital and online developments – seriously interesting stuff, I headed over to French Connection for their exciting campaign, #canthelpmyselfie. 


I arrived with plenty of time to pick out an outfit, which was probably a really good idea as there was so much to choose from! I ended up going for something that is so different to what I normally wear, but I think that’s a great thing to do at events like this. I’d already gone out of my comfort zone by attending on my own (and networking at the conference I was at prior to arriving in store) so thought I may as well try something new.

Canapes were provided by Gusto (and oh, they were so yummy) and the cakes and sweet treats by Pet Lamb Patisserie were very popular!


Once I’d changed into my outfit, this rose print shirt and matching trousers, which shall be referred to as ‘posh pjs’ from now on, I headed upstairs to hair and makeup.
 
Daniel from Regis gave my hair some much needed volume and had some great tips which I’ll be trying out next time I curl my hair. One of the local Benebabes then freshened up my makeup and off I went into the booth.


I really enjoyed the night. It was lovely to look at all the new SS14 stock and see some other bloggers too. I even ended up being interviewed by a reporter for a local newspaper, clearly I had some good karma going on! The fitting ending for a great (very busy) day!
