THE #FBLOGGER CHALLENGE WITH VERY: SS14 TRENDS

If you’ve been following me on twitter you’ll know that I’m featured in Very Magazine that’s out with this week’s OK! Magazine. It’s so exciting to see Hello Freckles in print and I’ve been looking forward to putting up this blog post and sharing with you the outfit I put together.

I was asked to style one of SS14’s hottest trends; ‘Embellishments’ for night time. I’ll be honest, I spent a good couple hours searching Very for something to fit the brief, but more importantly, something I could say I’d honestly wear.


When I saw this blue Lipsy dress, I was sold. Cobalt blue is such a big colour this season and the embellishment detailing to the neckline just confirmed it was the right choice. It’s a really flattering fit and a great way to give the embellishments trend a go without being too bold.


I thought these orange sandals would look great, adding another pop of colour to the outfit and not too high to be unbearable to walk in for a night out.


It wouldn’t be me without a leather jacket and let’s be serious, it can be overcast and a bit miserable sometimes (read: most of the time!) in England, so it’s always good to have a jacket to throw around your shoulders. This biker is so soft and really toughens up the look, which I really like.
