  • MAC Creme Cup Lipstick

I’ve had this lipstick for a while now and it’s definitely become a firm favourite. At £16.50  they’re not the cheapest – side note, they were £13.50 when I wrote this post originally. – I wouldn’t let the price put you off. They’re a great quality lipstick and there’s so many choices of shades and finishes.

Creme Cup has got a slight scent to it, but nothing overpowering and it doesn’t have a horrible artificial taste that some lipsticks and glosses do (ew). It’s actually quite pleasant, but I obviously try to avoid rubbing it off and such, since that defeats the purpose of applying it! The only downside is that when my lips are a bit on the chapped side, I find this shade/formula can draw attention to this. However, I have found that by applying some lip balm before lipstick, it doesn’t ‘stick’ to the drier areas. That aside, I do like the creamy texture and how easy it is to apply.
It’s not massively pigmented, but obviously if you’re after a more noticeable look then you can always apply more. This (slightly blurry) crop of me wearing it was taken after I’d returned from uni, so it had worn off a little but in terms of staying power it’s pretty good in my opinion. I definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a light shade that you can wear during the day but it’s versatile enough to wear on a night too. It’s an all round winner for me!
