With wedding season officially here, races, prom and graduation on the horizon, thoughts turn to outfits and what do you wear for these events?
It can be tricky, especially if you’ve got a few events lined up in your calendar. But I’m here to tell you that you don’t have to whip out the credit card and instead, can find something that’s really affordable and still be a classic piece season after season.
So challenged by Boohoo to style an occasion dress, I scoured through the site, was somewhat overwhelmed by the options (which is a good thing, surely!) and picked out this. Now I hadn’t realised until recently, just how much of a moment red is having in my wardrobe! Given that I’m typically a monochromatic dresser, featuring the odd muted tone a la AllSaints, this is certainly a change! At under £30 this dress is a bargain too, allowing you to spend a little more on some shoes perhaps!
On to the dress; this is a very classic skater style. With the slightly longer length it’s perfect for the races, for your graduation, as a wedding guest and even suitable for summer barbecues with some flat sandals. If red isn’t your colour, then they have a range of other shades too – my other favourites being turquoise and lilac which are particularly cute for a pastel lover, and navy which is another classic shade and maybe better suited if red seems a little bold for your taste.
Hope this helps if you have an event coming up this summer!
If you want to see another outfit I would wear for an occasion – in this case it was my friend’s wedding, and you’re looking at a higher end high street budget, check out this post.
