We’re now heading towards winter, with the summer just a distant memory. It’s 47 days until Christmas – not to alarm anyone and today is a pretty important day in its own right.
Not only is it my Dad’s birthday – Happy Birthday! but it’s Remembrance Sunday, this day, alongside the 11th November are two days we should all come together and take a moment to appreciate those who have fought for our freedom, in WWI, WWII and even beyond that. Take a couple of minutes to think of those who represented their country, who didn’t make it home. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.
This week I had a relaxing mini-facial and was introduced to some new skincare products, attended a conference about the future of the web (really interesting stuff) had a few post-work drinks on Friday and spent the day in Liverpool yesterday for the Allergy and Free From show – a lot of food samples were consumed! On Hello Freckles, I shared my thoughts on Rossopomodoro, Lush’s Christmas range and featured my latest go-to outfit.
Whilst I’m on the subject of Christmas, I’ve now seen the new John Lewis advert, Man On The Moon and whilst it doesn’t feature penguins it’s still incredibly emotive. I think it’s really lovely that they’re raising awareness for Age UK too and it reminded me of Up a little with the balloons.
Next week it’s the NE Blogger Awards (eek, still not sure what I’m wearing) and the Lumiere returns to Durham which I’m pretty excited about. If you’re not able to make it along, I’ll be featuring the highlights of the festival on here.
