You may have noticed Hello Freckles was a bit on the quiet side this week. I took a few days away from blogging to rethink ideas and plan ahead. At the end of the day, I do this because I enjoy it so if I’m feeling uninspired one day or I don’t have time to get some photos taken, then why not take a step back?
I’d rather post content I’m happy with, than something I’ve thrown together just to keep up with my usual schedule. A few days off was exactly what I needed and yesterday I planned out content for the next month or so! That time spent planning was quickly followed by pancakes which will be featuring on here soon (there’s a sneak preview on instagram) and a trip to the cinema to see Everest. A spa visit this afternoon also helped, because sometimes you just need to sit in a Jacuzzi full of bubbles until you look like a prune, right?
Next week I’ve got busy evenings heading to events, hopefully squeezing in some baking ahead of the Macmillan coffee morning on Friday and attempting lots of pliés in the name of charity on Saturday. I should probably mention it’s my birthday next Sunday too, but I think my birthday wishlist post may have given that away!
A final reminder about the NE Blogger Awards; nominations close this Friday so if you would like to nominate me for Best Lifestyle, Best Looking or even Best North East Blog, please do so via the website. This post I wrote recently should help with your nominations, whether it’s mine or any other blogs you enjoy reading.
Hope you’ve had a great week.
