It’s time for my monthly chat about my favourite moments from the month.
First up, a recent trip to the theatre to see Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. I’ve not seen the film and I didn’t read up before going as I thought, if it’s good, I won’t need to. I was right, it’s really funny and a great musical to go see if you get the chance.
Peonies are out in force and I’ve got a bunch of pink ones in my room at the moment. They’re so pretty and may just be my favourite flowers. If only they could be around all year…
Foo Fighters is technically a sneaky one, since I saw them at the end of last month but, I don’t know if I’m the only one who does this, I’ve been listening to them loads since. It doesn’t matter if I go to see one of my favourite bands, or a new artist, I always find myself listening to them for weeks afterwards, as though I’ve just discovered them. Since Foos played Radio 1’s Big Weekend, I keep hearing live tracks on my drive to/from work and it makes the journey so much better!
Black Opium is so good I dedicated a whole post to it here. It’s a bit different to my usual floral scents, but maybe that’s why I like it so much?
Finally, I’ve been trying out some of the new Vitamin C range from The Body Shop and I’m really impressed. Not only do the products work really well with my skin, they smell lovely too. This moisturiser has now become my go-to on a morning (taking over from my usual rose one – I know, I’m all about the florals lately) It’s light and sinks in really quick, but you’ll hear more about that in another post later this week.
Other things to mention include multiple cinema trips (San Andreas, Pitch Perfect 2 are both worth a watch) decorating cakes – I’m impressed with this teddy, a trip to Fountains Abbey in the rain, a well needed spa treatment, running a very colourful 5k and finishing season 4 of Suits.
What’s stood out for you this month?
