  • Sunday Summary #2

It’s been a busy one this week and for that reason there’s been a clear lack of blogging. Lots of filming and deadlines looming ever closer but hopefully I can fit in a few more posts next week!

I finally finished my essay and handed it in a day early too. I’m looking forward to being able to read Game of Thrones now without having to think about the character representation and development and gender. I do find myself comparing it to the TV show though, but reading it after watching the first three seasons is working for me as I know which character is which. If I’d read it first I think I might have been a bit lost at first.

This week I’ve had three film shoots, one was a re-shoot for our 2.20 and the other two to finish off our 3 minute. They went pretty well, all things considered now it’s just a lot of editing to be done (I certainly don’t envy Rob having all that to do) so they’re ready for our screening next week. As Producer, I’ve got to make sure all the paperwork is sorted so I’ll probably be nagging everyone for scripts, storyboards and anything else.

I’ve had a fair bit of editing to do and I spent all of today (well up until maybe an hour ago) in my pjs sitting in front of my laptop trying to put together my music video. I’m still not fully happy with it yet but with the screening on Friday, I’ve got a little more time to keep editing it until it looks right.

Hopefully I’ll be able to fit in a little shopping trip early next week, as typically, there’s something I spotted in the sales I’d like to get (and it’s now out of stock online in my size) if I can find it. I don’t know why I don’t just order things when I first see them!

What’ve you been up to this week?

Lovely Sunday Summary! I've just graduated from a Television and Video Production degree and I was the producer for the majority of my degree, so I feel your pain of reshoots! Luckily it's a lot of fun eh!

      Thanks Stephanie 🙂
I'm glad you can relate, a lot of people don't really consider the role a producer has (and the amount of work)
